Livin' Young and Wild and Free!

Erin always tells me stories about Grand Junction and how great it is but I have never been west of Vail! (not in the whole world, just Colorado) Opportunity knocked, and we answered with taking off work for a road trip to Grand Junction! Or how Erin likes to say, "GJ!" I took a lot of pictures in the 5 days that we spent on this trip. Please enjoy my documentation of the Grandest Junction I know!

And we're off! The first sign that says Grand Junction.

We hit snow on the way but we were okay with that.
Stopped in Frisco for Peppino's Pizza!

We got to watch them make our delicious pizzas!

Wouldn't be a road trip without belting out some Beatles. LET IT BE!

We made it!

First night in GJ, we went to Mesa State's production of the Musical "Crazy For You" It was great to see all of Erin's very talented friends performing!

We went to Village Inn after the show and Erin asked Scot to eat a piece of apple pie, smothered in whipped cream without his hands. And he did : )

Candy stores are fun no matter how old you are!

I met my frog prince!
Isn't he handsome?

We went to a bagel place for brunch. It was delicious!

I wanted a picture by the buffalo so Erin told me to swing from its horn. I liked it.

I got pop rocks at the candy store and Erin got a cricket lick it!

Thank you, graffiti artists, wherever you are, for creating these amazing things so I could get these sweet pictures.

The hotel we stayed at. I love WiFi for breakfast!

Erin and I love fro-yo so when we saw this place we just had to try it out. If you ever go to a CherryBerry, get the pink lemonade flavor. It's like a tart party on your tongue!

We couldn't help but see this green wall as a photo shoot opportunity!

We went to Hooters because I had never been. Expensive and not worth it. But at least I can say I went there!

Then this hot dog guy...

Drove up the National Monument at sunset. Who knew there was such beauty in this little town?

This is our food seat.

Sunday Funday! We spent the day watching Mick and Travis at a 50 race! They smoked the competition. We had a lot of fun watching the boys be boys in the mud which was mostly horse poop. I even got to ride Mick's dirt bike after the race and totally ate it around a slippery turn. It was a blast!

There's an opportunity for photography everywhere. Loved this old rusty car with the light shining just right on it.

On our way home we went to the Glenwood hot springs. Relaxation is an understatement. I didn't know what I was missing! And of course raisin hands.

Ice Castles!

To conclude our trip we went to the Ice Castles in Silverthorn. What a beautifully unique attraction. I really loved capturing these awesome formations!
